Code Tweet
Just paste a GitHub URL,
and get 5 draft posts for X.
Paste a repository URL and Code Tweet loads the README automatically, then generates five posts — intro, how-to, use case, relatable, and CTA — each with a suggested posting time.
How it works
- 1
Paste a GitHub repository URL
Paste https://github.com/owner/repo into the input. Code Tweet fetches the README for you, so there's no need to copy the text yourself. Only when a repository has no README do you paste a description directly.
- 2
Add preferences (optional)
Fill these in only if you want to set the tone, the URL to announce, or hashtags. You can skip all of them and still get 5 posts.
- 3
Press "Generate posts"
All five posts — intro, how-to, use case, relatable, and CTA — arrive at once with suggested posting times. The "Post on X" button opens X's composer with the text already in place (you can also just copy it).
Tip: sign in with GitHub to unlock the "Choose a repository" button, which lists your public repositories. No more copying URLs every time.
What it does
- ·
Loads your README automatically
Paste a URL and the README is fetched from the repository and previewed. No copy-pasting the text yourself.
- ·
Five angles in one go
Five posts in order — intro, how-to, use case, relatable, CTA — each playing a different role.
- ·
Suggested posting times
Within the next 7 days, it suggests a weekday and time that suits each post — and explains why.
- ·
Automatic 280-weight check
Weighted length is calculated with twitter-text, and anything over the limit is flagged in red.
- ·
Post to X in one click
The "Post on X" button opens X's composer with your text already filled in — no copy-and-paste needed.
Sample output
Weekday evenings are when indie developers check X. Ideal for announcing something new.
Just shipped Code Tweet, a side project of mine. Paste a GitHub README and it drafts 5 posts for X in one go. I built it to fix that gap where the code is done but the announcements never keep up.
